POTAN PLAYGROUND

As part of the “Tamagawa Art Line Project,” it underwent renovations and reopened in 2009. The project aimed to create a children’s park where the city’s children could play while directly engaging with art born in the city, allowing art to blend into everyday life. The project was realized through collaboration between the Tama River Art Line Project, designers, artists, local government, and local factories.

Three sheep sculptures “POTAN”, which were produced in a factory in Ota Ward, are installed as part of the project.

街の子どもが、街で生まれたアートと直に触れあいながら遊び、アートが日常にとけ込むような児童公園を目指し、多摩川アートラインプロジェクト、デザイナー、アーティスト、行政、町工場が恊働して実現したプロジェクト。
大田区の工場で製作された”POTAN”が3体設置されている。
