Inspired by the name “Han-yama,” an iceberg emerges, partially hidden beneath the sea’s surface. This iceberg represents the allure of Nanjo City and the profoundness of Okinawan culture.
This artwork, themed around the Emperor Penguin, a species that cannot inhabit the tropical climate of Okinawa, will serve as a focal point at the entrance of the Nanjo Art Museum and Han-yama Cafe, where it will encounter numerous individuals and guide them through diverse memories of the future.
伴山という名称からインスパイアされた氷山。
海中に全貌の大半を隠している氷山はこの南城市の魅力や沖縄の文化の奥深さを象徴しています。
南国沖縄には生息できない皇帝ペンギンをモチーフにしたこの作品は、南城美術館・伴山カフェの入り口でたくさんの人たちと出会い、さまざまな未来の記憶をガイドすることでしょう。
